In this episode I talk about picking the right fin template for your Groveler. There are many small wave Grovelers to choose from and picking the right fin size and template can be the difference between a good board and a Magic Board.

The new Lost “Maysym” is a great introduction to Asymmetrical surfboard design. This board has a Rocket tail with a longer rail line on the toe side and round tail with a shorter rail line on the heel side.

This all-round hybrid shape has a fuller nose and lots of volume under the chest for easy paddling, and a tapered tail outline for tighter turns in hollow sections.

In this episode, I review Pyzel’s new HPSB (high-performance short board) called the “Shadow.” The Shadow is the 4th model in the Ghost family that completes a four-board quiver for waves ranging from 1-10’+.

In this episode of Surf 'n Show Noel Salas reviews the Pyzel Gremlin in super fun 1-5’ surf. The Gremlin is a true small wave Groveler with low entry rocker, and its wide point front from center making it a great paddler.

In this episode from Surf 'n Show Noel Salas gets two Slater Designs “Omni” surfboards sent down for review. "The Omni surfs more like a HPSB with a little more entry rocker and excels in steeper more hollow waves. I found the Omni to be a little more demanding (harder to surf) compared to the Cymatic."

In this episode of Surf 'n Show Firewire sends Noel Salas down two stock 5’3” Slater Design "Cymatic" surfboards designed by Tomo for review. "The Cymatic surfs like a HPSB and is very responsive with its short but straight outline offering excellent speed down the line and vertical surfing in the pocket. This board excels in 2-6’ surf and challenged me to test my rail game in 6-8’ surf."

In this episode Firewire sends me two stock 5’4” Rob Machado “Moonbeams” in their LFT construction for review. I got one board with FCS II fin plugs and the other board has Futures. Both boards have a five fin options and I enjoyed surfing them both as Quads and Thrusters with medium fins. The Moonbeam has many different attributes that make it unique in design.

The SharpEye Modern 2 surfboard is such a sick little board. I tested it in 1-4' surf as a Thruster and as a Twin Fin with a small trailer. It is loaded with volume for great paddling and extremely fast down the line. It also has a pulled in tail and a bit of tail rocker to jam it in the pocket like a performance board.
