    Surf Report comments:
6:55 am:    The waves are similar in size early this morning.   Misty at the beach early, with the wave size 1.5-2 feet with some occasional larger set waves this morning.          Our local buoy the early wave height reading is 3.6 feet at 11 seconds, up from yesterdays 3.3 feet at 10 seconds.     The marine forecast is calling for gusty SW winds today.  The water temperature is measured at 62.6 degrees at The Pier this morning.   See the ocean live by viewing The Surf Station Cam Page here.

8:00 am:  Early morning photos are up and posted and you can see we have surf again today! Offshore winds with ‘spray in your face ‘ type waves, which can be super fun when that same wind opens up the tube!   It may be a little bigger than the early morning call.  The buoy is actually up from yesterday.   Will the wind beat it smaller?  Or will the swell hold?   We will see.   The good news is, it’s fairly clean, although a little windblown with the stiff and gusty offshore wind.

    * Just in from Dean… “The underlying long period east swell, though not huge, should hold fairly well through the day (regardless of the moderate offshore wind) since upstream buoys are holding strong with 3’+ @11 sec this morning.”
